Penske Racing has been manufacturing high-end racing shocks and suspension
components for over 15 years, and are known across the globe for superior build
quality, outstanding performance, and exceptional service. Penske shocks have
been used in both national and international competition to win countless motorcycle
road racing championships. For those that demand the best, Penske shocks
deliver.
All Penske shocks are built to aerospace-industry tolerances, using
the finest materials available, assuring both exceptional strength, and light
weight. Shock bodies are constructed of CNC-Machined 7075-T6 hard-anodized aluminum.
Shafts are constructed of heavy-duty 5/8-inch chrome-moly steel, and chrome plated.
Hyperco shock springs are used to assure accurate spring rates, strength, and
resistance to fatigue.
All Penske shocks are 100% owner rebuildable and maintainable. This
allows Penske owners to not only have one of the best shocks made right now,
but to maintain that performance season after season, year after year, at low
cost and with little down time. Each and every part of a Penske shock can be
ordered either through us, or directly through Penske.
More features that set Penske motorcycle shocks apart from the crowd include:
- A fully threaded shock body and quick-turn preload collar make setting
sag and fine tuning preload a snap.
- A variable-length eyelet allows for ride height adjustments without removing
the shock from your motorcycle.
- Low friction / stiction shaft bearings and seals protect the shock from
contaminants, but with minimal drag.
- A 35-click-by-hand rebound adjuster allows for extra-fine tuning without
the need for a screwdriver or other tools.
- A high volume, floating-piston reservoir assures for consistent damping,
even in the most extreme conditions.
- Spring steel valve shims and a large selection of piston designs allow for
almost infinite tuneability and customization of damping characteristics.
- The option of a remote reservoir, which increases resistance to heat-related
damping fade, and can allow for damping adjustments even while riding.
- All 8900-Series motorcycle shocks share the same shock body, making full
upgrades possible with only the replacement of the reservoir assembly.
