For the absolute ULTIMATE in braking performance, Sportbike Solutions is very proud to offer Braketech's state-of-the-art Ceramic Matrix Composite brake rotors! These rotors sport technology similiar to that being currently used in the MotoGP ranks... only better! These 320mm rotors feature hard-anodized carriers, and are designed to fit the 2006-2007 Honda CBR1000RR.
Incorporating now de-classified Stealth Bomber Aircraft technology manufactured by Starfire Systems, the revolutionary materials used in the manufacture of these rotors will change the way both top-level race teams and enthusiasts alike view their braking systems. Performance parameters in-total make all previous materials and systems dated by comparison, including the vaunted Carbon/carbon brakes seen so often in the MotoGP ranks. This new composite material offers the best features iron rotors have to offer, coupled with the incredible light weight of carbon, but without the downfalls seen in Carbon/carbon systems!
Performance features include:
* Not thermally sensitive (will work great on the street)
* Ultra-broad torque curve across a very wide thermal range
* Much longer lasting than C/c
* Much less expensive than C/c
* Great wet weather performance - unlike C/c
* Terrific feel and feedback at the lever
* Strong braking performance. Really strong: +.6 mu average friction with Ferodo CXR Pads!
* Average of 65% weight reduction in weight over stock components. On a stock '04 Yamaha R1, that translates into almost 4.5lbs of unsprung weight shaved from the front wheel!!
CMC Rotors feature the same patented construction which has made BrakeTech's Axis line so successfuly, including the Direct-LinkTM load transfer system which decreases carrier wear as well as increasing thermal transfer ability to the carrier.
***These rotors MUST be used only with Ferodo 'CST' or 'CXR' pads, available in our store, or directly from BrakeTech USA. The use of non-approved pads is dangerous, can damage components, and will void all warranties, expressed or implied.***
***Price is for a single rotor. Choose the side required in the option box (sides are as they'd be viewed while sitting on the bike). If you need a dual disc set, make sure to order both a left and right side rotor.***
